It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Raymond Fletcher on Saturday, January 25, 2025, three years to the day of the loss of his beloved wife, Susan Fletcher (nee Wilcox). Father to Shelley (Mark) Senior and Stephen Fletcher. Papa to Curtis (Kyla), Douglas (Emily), Tara Shuttler, and Hannah (Mitch) Brooks. Great-Grandpa to Alex, Levi, Kenna, Lyla, Dawson, and Jamie. Bonus Papa to Larissa (Tyler), Katie (Chris) and Rebecca, as well as bonus Great-Grandpa to Alora.
Ray will be missed by his in-laws, Jane and Robert Wren and Bonnie and Peter Holdsworth, lifelong friends, Marlene Panter and Gord Whiteman, and many other friends, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Ray enjoyed the company of his church community at Harmony Baptist. It was a source of spirituality, support, friendship and countless opportunities to exchange stories. At heart, Ray was always the salesman; in demeanor, always the humourist; and in devotion, always blessed by his family.
Give him a coffee, a cigarette, CNN, the Blue Jays or a chance to go to the casino, and it was a good day. However, being without his wife kept it from becoming a great day.
The family would like to thank the staff at Juravinski Hospital for their compassion and care. A Celebration of Life will be held at Harmony Baptist Church (www.harmonybaptist.ca) on Friday, February 7, 2025 at 11am, with a light luncheon to follow. For those wishing to make a donation in Ray’s memory, we would ask that you consider Harmony Baptist Church and/or Jason’s Wheelhouse (www.jasonswheelhouse.ca).
