McDERMOTT, Olive June
June 26, 1930- January 7, 2025
A life full of love, laughter, sweet smiles, loving words, kindness to the fullest, our beautiful mother, Olive June McDermott, has left this journey of life. Now to be with her loved ones, in Heaven, her one and only love, Donald McDermott, her sweet daughter Carol, her adventurous son Donnie, her beautiful grandchildren who left too early! Many loved ones still here who will deeply miss her silliness and smiles and twinkle in her eyes, her hugs always made one feel so loved. Olive is survived by daughter Patricia (John), Colleen (Rick), sons Jimmy and Tommy. A grandma, a G.G. and triple G to many that she loves so dearly. May her free spirit lite up Heaven and her love shine within us. Olives family sends their sincere gratitude to the fabulous Dr. J. Martini and team. Every Tuesday phone calls, Mom spoke to you as a friend, not a Doctor. Nurse “Miss Kim” for giving Mom shivers with your touch. Not “cold,” your beautiful spirit and amazing help. Xo. Our friend, sweet Edna, you always knew what to say and your outpouring of kindness will always be lovingly remembered. We are blessed! We thank you all! XO As per Olive’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will take place at a later date.

Grandma - I miss you so very much.
I am so thankful for how much time I got to share with you, right down to our very last conversations that I hold so dear.
I’m my heart, I know you were ready to move on and I pray you are free and at peace surround by loved ones.
It’s the little things I’ll miss so much… like the way you burped when you were hungry and tooted from one grape.
You will always live in my heart and in my daughters as well.
See you in a while 💕

I grew up next door to Olive , Don & family. Olive was a wonderful person, always happy & had a good word for you. My Mother & Olive got along well. Olive would frequently be kidding around. I am sure she will be deeply missed by all those that loved her especially her smile & great sense of humor. I myself have many fond memories of her. God Speed Olive.
