January 10, 1931 - September 30, 2023
It is with very heavy hearts we announce the passing of John on September 30, 2023. Beloved husband of Irene for 69 years. Loving father of and forever missed by his sons Glen (Aysel), Scott (Valerie) and Ian (Gina). He will be dearly missed by his many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. John was predeceased by his sister Ann and grandson Brian.
John was a loving husband and devoted father, and his family was his life.
John was a good man and a generous person who was always ready to give a helping hand. He was a self-taught craftsman who took pride in everything he did. Woodworking was John's passion where he crafted many beautiful pieces for his family. His passion for woodworking can be seen throughout his home. His love for travel took him on many adventures over the years.
John was a dedicated employee at Stelco for over 40 years.
Words cannot describe what an incredible person John was and how deeply he will be missed. We would like to thank St. Joe's Hospital for all their care and compassion during this difficult time.
At John's request a private family service will be held.
