Isaiah 25 vs. 1A
Thelma was our second mother for over 40 years, and a wonderful wife to our father, Tjeerd Tom Reitsma whom she married in August 1978. Thelma was a generous, steadfast, and helpful presence in our lives, sharing her home, and thoroughly enjoying small and large family events. When I was a doctoral student, commuting to Toronto from Hamilton, Thelma would drop off a casserole on Friday night, every week during the first year, to make sure there was one home-cooked meal that week for Harry and myself. Even in the past few years, Thelma would answer the phone when I called, with the biggest smile and warm "Well, Hel--lo there!" She had a melodious voice as well as infectious laugh, and would lighten up our day. We will remember her, and miss her.
