We would like to thank all the staff at Macassa Lodge in Hamilton for their excellent care of our mother and grandmother. The staff went above & beyond painting her nails, and curling her hair – as being stylish was always important to Dolores. They listened to all of her stories, and she would entertain the staff by reading their horoscopes and Taro cards. They provided exceptional end of life care which included being there for Dolores’s family – telling us stories about our mom’s time with them.
Family will receive friends at M.A. Clark & Sons Funeral Home, 567 Upper Wellington, Hamilton, on Monday June 19, 2023 from 5-8PM with a celebration of her life on Tuesday June 20, 2023 at 1PM in the chapel.

“Little doe” you are one of the kindest sweetest people anyone could meet. Great memories of you reading out tarot cards and coming for dinner - we always enjoyed your company and sharing a few laughs. Will always cherish our time spent together.

Rip to the beautiful Dolores Welsh. I met her when I was ~16 and my grandpa started dating her. My own Nana was in a home with alzheimers and would pass soon after . Dolores has been like a grandma to me ever since. Even though I was an oddly dressed weird teenager, she always accepted me. I was pretty much immediately a big fan of hers when she pulled out her tarot cards. I love that she believed in the sun, the moon and the stars. Dolores had the kindest heart and most gentle soul. She has been there for me when I needed doctor visits , a drive to interviews, a listening ear and open heart, and she liked to sneak an extra 20 bucks into my gift cards from my grandpa. I hate that I didn't visit her much the last years while she was a resident of macasa lodge, but I'm thankful for bekka who kept an eye on her all these years for me . Even in a home, frail and wheelchair bound , she always looked sharp. This womans style was impeccable! Always wearing a blazer, with a big dazzling broach, stunning rings and of course her hair and makeup done. One time she broke her femur and only asked for an Eyebrow pencil lol Dolores is the definition of class and elegance. I'm glad I got to hold her hand one more time.
You will be missed dearly and will forever be in my heart , little Doe❤️ 🕊
