It is with heavy hearts we say goodbye to a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She will be lovingly remembered by her devoted husband and love of her life Victor for 70 Years. Also by her daughter Penny, daughter-in-law Trish, grandchildren Jason (Luana), JR (Stephanie), Brandon, Jennifer (Tim), Katie (Steph), Wally (Reggie), great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Shirley started her teaching career in a one room school at the age of 18 and then furthered her career with Hamilton District School Board, retiring with over 30 years of service.
Shirley and her husband enjoyed their life filled with day trips exploring the court-side, casino runs, bowling, and many happy times with family. She was an avid Tiger Cats Fan and attended many games. "Oski Wee-Wee!.
she is predeceased by her parents John and Frances Palmer, twin sister Sheila, brother Bill, beloved son Marc and son-in-law Pete.
Shirley had a zest for life and loved her family dearly.
Family and friends are invited to M.A. Clark & Son Funeral Home, 567 Upper Wellington St., Hamilton, ON. March 24th, Visitations will be held from 5 - 8 p.m.
