Betty May Paul (nee Rawbone), in her 94th year, peacefully passed into the arms of Jesus at St. Peter's Hospital Palliative Care on Sunday, March 12, 2023. She was predeceased by Harold, her loving husband of 65 years, her sister Bessie and brothers Walter and Harry. Betty was the cherished mother of Harold (Donna), Jo-Ann Johnson, and Larry (Gail), treasured grandmother of Tim Johnson (Jenn), and great-grandmother of Phoenix and Ripley. She will be sadly missed by her sisters-in-law Diane Woodfine, Lauretta Paul and Kathleen Paul, brothers-in-law Norman Paul and Gerald Woodfine, and her many nieces and nephews. An active member of Saints Peter and Paul Parish, Betty was a woman of great faith whose life was devoted to her family and friends. Her pursuits included bowling in the Sherwood Lanes Ladies' League, more than 50 years in leadership with Girl Guides of Canada, and knitting baby clothing for hospitals and charitable organizations. Visitors will be received at M.A. Clark and Sons Funeral Home, 567 Upper Wellington St., Hamilton, on Wednesday, March 15 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Funeral Mass at Saints Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church, 50 Brucedale Ave. E., Hamilton, on Thursday, March 16 at 10:30 am. Interment in Resurrection Cemetery Our Lady of Hope Mausoleum, Ancaster.
