Anne Marie Boardman
May 8th, 1937- July 24th, 2020

It is with great sadness and grief that we announce the passing of our mother, Anne Marie Boardman on Friday in her hometown of Hamilton. Anne was predeceased by the love of her life, Al, in 1994, and her dear siblings Ron Collier and his wife Mary, Jean Shaw and her husband Joe and very recently by her "little sister" Eileen Hadall (Roy). Survived by her brother Murray Collier and his wife Sondra, who are two of her closest friends.

Anne was the proud Mother of Gary Boardman (Tina) and Nancy Kish (Jeremy) and adoring Grandma to Makenna, Eric and Taylor and Lauren, William and Sam. She also loved all animals especially her grand-pets Levi, Monty, Stella and Oliver. She will be sorely missed by many nieces, nephews and countless friends. Anne loved to travel, sew, knit, bake, do puzzles, sudoku and crosswords. She loved spending time with her friends dancing, playing games, enjoying luncheons and walking with "Packer's Trackers" The family would like to thank the amazing team of nurses and doctors at Juravinski Hospital for their care and compassion. Special thanks to Dr. Packer for taking such good care of Mom, and Dr. Foley and his team, especially Terri Lynn Vandendool whom Mom referred to as her angel.

Anne was always there for her family and friends and we're grateful she was able to see her grand-kids grow into young adults. She did everything with style and was a vibrant, beautiful and active woman until her final days. Cremation has taken place and online condolences can be made at maclarkfuneralhome.com. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Mom used to say "Don't wish your life away" so in her memory, live every moment to its fullest! Love you Mom.

I would like to express my heartfelt condolences to Anne's family. My compliments to such a lovely tribute. She was such a good friend to my mom Marie and I will forever be grateful for all the good times they shared (line dancing, travelling). She was an inspiration in the way she lived life to the fullest and will be missed by many whose lives she touched, including our family.

My heartfelt sympathies to the Boardman family (and to Anne's many friends). Al was my uncle (my mother was Sheila Boardman, Al’s older sister). Al & Anne were a special couple – I remember being at their wedding as a teenager. The picture of her is exactly how I remember her although I have not seen her for many years she looks the same! Such a beautiful smile. Your tribute describes an amazing woman who lived a very full life with so much love for her family and friends.
With love from Carol

My mom (Sheila) younger brother was Al Boardman. I remember my Aunt Anne with fond memories. She was kind, generous and fun to be with. My husband and myself moved to Ottawa 45 years ago so we didn't see each other often. But when I learned of her passing it was a sense of loss. She will be missed.

Anne was an integral part of our small book club. The six of us had many evenings of laughter, information and good food. Also Anne was part of our Ladies League bowling at Sherwood Lanes. She was a lovely lady in all her ways. And so very proud of her family.

Aunt Anne Marie was one of my favorite people. She always had a smile on her face and dressed impeccably!! Fashionista! Beautiful lady inside and out. She will be sadly missed at the annual Christmas party for most of the family but for her immediate family will be tough not to see her every day. She will always be smiling down on you. My deepest condolences to all xoxoxo RIP Sweet Angel

My late husband Ron Hodson, was very good friends with "Alfie", and Anne was a beautiful friend of mine. Al was in our Wedding Party in 1955.
I did not see Anne often, but we would chat on the phone from time to time.
I am very sad to hear of her passing.

I will miss my Aunt. We may not have seen each other a lot, or talked as often as we should, but my heart is broken! She had a smile that was as sincere as the words she always spoke! Which were always kind, even though you knew sometimes she was thinking something else....??
As with all 3 sisters, they were taught that old adage, if you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all!
I will miss you Aunt Anne Marie, I will miss you Aunt Eileen, and I miss you so much Mom...have fun you 3 angels.

I am sad to learn of Anne’s passing. I have many fond memories of line dancing nights, group getaways, excursions to Havelock, backyard BBQs filled with lots of laughter and fun with Anne. She was an elegant, intelligent, caring woman with a kind and pleasant demeanour and I always enjoyed her company.
