July 29, 1944 - January 13, 2019

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ross peacefully at home on Sunday, January 13, 2019, at the age of 74 following a recent diagnosis of a rare condition called Erdheim-Chester disease.

He will be lovingly missed by Margaret, wife of 51 years, children, Pamela (Jason), Stephen (Melissa), and Michelle, grandchildren Nellie, Noah, Stuart, Chloe, Dylan and Kelson.

Ross was a very private and proud man who cherished his time with grandchildren, family and loved to travel to sunny destinations.

Ross was predeceased by his parents Veronica and Harold Wright, brother Gerald and is survived by sisters Rose Croscup, Veronica Norris (Bryan), brother John (Ellen), along with several nieces and nephews.

Ross had a career in the military for 32 years during which he was in the Black Watch Regiment before transferring to the Service Corp, and did two UN Peacekeeping tours. He also proudly worked at the Hamilton International Airport for 15 years.

A Celebration of Life will take place from 2 to 4 PM with a military tribute at 3 PM on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at M.A. Clark & Sons Funeral Home Ltd., 567 Upper Wellington, Hamilton, ON L9A 3P8.

In lieu of flowers, donations to either The Heart and Stroke Foundation, The Lung Association or Erdheim-Chester Disease Global Alliance would be appreciated.”

I only knew Ross for a little over a year but really enjoyed getting to know him over our backyard chats. He was a pleasure to talk to. I'll certainly miss having him around. My deepest condolences to Margaret and family at this difficult time.
