How do you share the loss of a beautiful soul? Here is our best effort.

On Friday March 16th, 2018, 6 weeks after his 26th birthday, Dylan unexpectedly passed away at home in Hamilton. He was born to Sheila (Salisbury) Fildes and Daryl Thibeault(deceased). Dylan was raised by Mom Sheila and Dad Jeff Fildes. Dylan was loved deeply by sister Rita, beloved Uncle to Dallas Morin, stepbrother to Sandra and Mike Jones, and Uncle to Emma. Good friend to John Sison. Grandson to Barbara and Jim (deceased)Salisbury, Margaret Baldwin and Agnes and Bert Fildes (deceased). Nephew to Jim and Karina Salisbury, Rebecca Salisbury and John Dryden, Bill Salisbury, Bill and Brenda Burr, Mary Jane Hutchinson, Tom and Robin Burr, Barb McDonald (Carmine), Bruce Fildes, Brenda and Dean Short and Sue and Mike Mulhall. Cousin to Jordan, Mara, Nathan, Meg, Bill Jr, Christie, Jamie, Robbie (deceased), Matthew, Melanie, Matthew, Lindsay, Emily, Jessica and Mikayla. Love continued from Josee, Wendy and Felicity; survived by his longtime friend Connor. Missing him most is his dog Lucy. Dylan was truly loved by his family and brought joy to and inspired so many more people. He was a polite, respectful and incredibly talented young man who loved to play his prized guitar, write and perform songs, and sing. He played the snare drum wonderfully, and for several years enjoyed playing for the Hamilton Police Pipe Band, including a year as 5th grade Lead Tip. He adored drawing and sketching, creating beautiful art. Dylan was truly a gifted artist.
Dylan was affected deeply by an illness he struggled with, but tried his best to be a valiant warrior against depression and addiction. How we wish things were different.
We were so blessed to have you in our life, and will miss you eternally.

"Beyond the door there's peace I'm sure
And I know there'll be no more tears in heaven"

Donations can be made to The Hamilton Police Pipe Band or Centre for Addiction and Mental Health.
